Join Greenfield Presbyterian Church as we take action for racial justice. We are partnering with Michigan Liberation in their effort to call on state legislators to end cash bail in Michigan. Michiganders who cannot pay bail are held in jail while not being convicted of a crime. This process can sometimes take years to resolve, negatively impacting individuals, families, and communities. Even a few days in jail, unable to afford bail, can impact things like employment and housing. The practice of cash bail disproportionately affects the poor and communities of color.
