Our Hands-On-Mission
Sunday, January 25th
We need dedicated volunteers to assist throughout the day, which runs from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Whether you can commit to the entire time or just a few hours, your support is invaluable for preparation, serving, and cleanup.
Morning Activities (Preparation/Setup): Younger volunteers (recommended age 10 and older) are welcome to join us during the morning hours.
Afternoon Activities (Serving/Cleanup): The afternoon is focused on distributing meals and the necessary cleanup afterward.
Specific Needs:
Volunteers: Individuals are needed for the full day or any part of the service hours.
Financial Support: The cost to run this service day is approximately $1,700.00. Donations are warmly accepted to cover these expenses.
A Note on Donations: Crossroads is regrettably no longer able to accept homemade food items. Should their policy change, we know the Greenfield bakers will be ready to rally!
Logistics and Sign-Up: You have two options for meeting up:
Meet Us There: Crossroads Soup Kitchen is located at 2424 West Grand Boulevard, Detroit.
Caravan Option: Meet at Greenfield Church at 7:30 AM to carpool/caravan together.
To officially sign up, please visit our SignUp Genius page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call John Youngerman or Susan Howell (248-808-7279).
Greenfield Supports…….
We believe that God loves everyone. Our faith is centered in Christ. His example of loving service compels us to live our faith. We do this by creating a caring community where all are welcomed and encouraged to join in worship, outreach, and mission work both near and far. We invite you to learn more about our mission activities and join in our service to others.
Members and Friends of Greenfield Presbyterian work together to make a difference in so many ways and they have lots of fun doing it! Some of the missions we are supporting or have supported:
