Greenfield's Book Discussion Group is meeting at 7pm both on Zoom and at church to discuss By Any Other Name by Jodi Piccoult. It is a dual-timeline novel exploring the question of Shakespearean authorship. It tells the story of two women, Melina Green and Emilia Bassano, who both face societal barriers to their creative voices. Melina, a contemporary playwright, struggles to get her play produced due to sexism in the theater world, while Emilia, a real-life Elizabethan woman, is forced to hide her writing behind a male pseudonym.
