Watercolor Painting

10 to 12 PM $5

12:30 Lunch at O’Mara

Please RSVP by Monday April 22nd.

Our church is blessed by the talents that our many fellow Greenfielders have been given by God! We have a unique opportunity this month to share in those talents by participating in a watercolor class taught by our own Fran Ahern, who created the beautiful paintings displayed in the sanctuary for Easter.

This class is for beginners -ALL levels of experience are welcome, but NO EXPERIENCE is necessary! Fran will go over brushes, paper, mixing colors, and different watercolor techniques.

We’ll paint two note cards and one picture, time permitting, and all in a supportive and judgement-free environment.

And… you never know what talents God has given you until you try. You will be surrounded by people who care about you and are eager to learn alongside you!

And…it’s fun to try new things together!

NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY: ALL MATERIALS WILL BE PROVIDED (however, if you have any art supplies of your own, such as watercolors, paint brushes etc. that you can bring to supplement what we will provide, please let us know when you RSVP on Signup Genius).

We are excited to take this leap of faith with you!

Before you say “I can’t do this” just remember…it’s good for our brains to learn new things as we, ahem, progress through life (you know, get older). “A study looked at adults aged 58-86 who took three to five new classes for 3 months. They increased their mental abilities to the level of people 30 years younger after just a month and a half.” (From WebMD 2-28-24)
