In September we will be reading, Small Great Things by Jodi Picoult. The “story of an African American labor and delivery nurse and the racism surrounding her care of a white supremacist couple’s newborn son.” In October, in honor of the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th amendment granting women the right to vote in the United States, our selection is, Suffrage, by Ellen Carol Dubois. This book was recently published and might have a waitlist at the library so you might want to reserve or read it ahead of time.
At September’s gathering we will select our books for the rest of the year. Please bring any ideas you might have or send them along with someone else if you can’t be there!
