Just Older Youth (JOY) group is adults who get together to have fellowship. They meet about once a month during a week day and sometimes just hang out at the church or sometimes they plan fun outings. Stayed tuned each month to see what fun things they have planned.

Due to current health concerns we have been doing some Zoom meetings to keep connected with each other.

If you are someone who has not had the opportunity to join the JOY Group before, but now you have some, um, time on your hands…please feel free to contact Nancy and request the invitation-all  Just Older Youth (adults) are welcome. If you know someone who usually attends JOY events, but doesn’t have technology to join us, give them a call to connect and let them know we are thinking of them! Hope to Zoom with you next Wednesday!

Please join us on Thursday, September 17 from 11:30-1:00 for an in-person picnic on the grounds of GPC.

To keep things as safe as possible, this will be a BYOLBC lunch…bring your own lunchbeverage, and chair! (We will not be setting up tables-laps are the safer option, but you are welcome to bring a small personal collapsible table if you like.)  We will sit at least 6 feet apart and ask that you make sure you have a mask with you for times when you are not eating. We will make sure there is hand sanitizer available.  There is no cost for this event.

We are planning this with the best of intentions-if anything changes with our state’s status and/or rules for gathering we may need to adjust our plans, so please RSVP by Sept.16  to Mary Tackett at 586-747-9703 or Nancy Youngerman at 248-321-4055 so we may contact you if anything must change.

We can’t wait to see you in person!  Mary and Nancy

p.s. Plans are underway for an interactive genealogy presentation by Ray Swetman next month-stay tuned for details!
